Text recognition, reading aloud and dictation run locally. Supertonic 3 provides speech, and Whisper Turbo provides dictation. The app includes their license notices. Additional dictation models download only after your explicit confirmation.
Reading screen regions requires Screen Recording permission. Dictation needs Microphone access and Accessibility permission to insert text into other apps.
Saywing helps with reading and dictation. It is not a complete replacement for VoiceOver.
