AI engineer for companies in Aalen

I build AI applications that reach production — from the data model through model integration to the interface someone actually works in. I studied at Aalen University, and KLICKin was built for them; it still runs there today.

What was built in Aalen

KLICKin is the career platform of Aalen University. Students, alumni and companies previously found each other only through scattered point solutions — a job board here, profiles there, career fairs somewhere else. What came out of it is a system the university can run on its own for the long term: data model, backend, interface, deployment and operations. It has been in production since launch and now has more than 550 registered users.

What I work on

Five areas, each backed by a case study with numbers.

AI in the Ostalb region

The region is actively building this out: Aalen University hosts the KI-Werkstatt Mittelstand, and the digiZ Ostwürttemberg digitalisation centre has sites in Aalen, Heidenheim and Schwäbisch Gmünd. Anyone who has found an entry point there eventually faces the next question: how does an experiment become a system that runs day to day and that someone can operate? That is exactly where my work starts.

How working together looks

Most of the development happens remotely, and for most projects that is the right call. For kick-offs, workshops and handovers I come to Aalen. What you get at the end is not a slide deck but a system someone can operate — with code that belongs to you and numbers that hold up.

Nearby as well

Beyond Aalen I work with companies across the Ostalb district and eastern Württemberg:

  • Schwäbisch Gmünd
  • Heidenheim an der Brenz
  • Ellwangen
  • Oberkochen
  • Bopfingen

Common questions

Will you come to Aalen for meetings?
Yes. Kick-offs, workshops and handovers happen on site when that helps. Ongoing development stays remote — it saves travel without losing alignment.
Do you have references from the region?
KLICKin, the career platform of Aalen University. It has been in production since launch and has more than 550 registered users. The case study covers the architecture, my role and the numbers in detail.
What kind of companies do you work with?
Teams with a concrete problem, not an AI programme without a target. A business with a pile of documents or an inspection task that takes too long is a good fit. All it needs is someone on your side who can answer the domain questions.
How do I get started?
With a short description of what you have in mind — through the contact form or by email. I will tell you whether AI is the right tool for it. Sometimes the answer is no, and you are better off hearing that up front than three months in.

Got a project in mind?
